Klaten Regency (Kabupaten Klaten)
Klaten Regency (ꦏ꧀ꦭꦛꦺꦤ꧀) is a regency in Central Java province in Indonesia. It covers an area of 655.56 km2 and had a population of 1,130,047 at the 2010 Census and 1,260,506 at the 2020 Census. Its capital is the town of the same name (the town extends over three of the regency's districts, with 133,765 inhabitants in 2020).

Indonesia shares land borders with Papua New Guinea, East Timor, and the eastern part of Malaysia, as well as maritime borders with Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, Palau, and India. Despite its large population and densely populated regions, Indonesia has vast areas of wilderness that support one of the world's highest level of biodiversity.
